Bicycle House
In a society which is dominated by cars, Bicycle House strives to break the mould. Rather than car parking dominating site frontage and area, space is allocated to bicycle parking at the entry, allowing street frontage to be given over to a semi private garden, where children meet and conversation occurs.
A Dutch inspired viewing window at street level allows this modest family home to seamlessly connect from street to garden, maximising the site area, breezes and natural light. This family home may have a compact footprint, but every square millimeter is used, and loved.
